To develop an overall plan, based on previous work and new discussion, for the center city area of Greensboro. There are five subcommittees: Volunteers. Involving people in implementing the Center City Plan. Housing. Promoting increased downtown housing. Activities. Bringing people downtown. Education. Educating the community about the Downtown Master Plan.
Historic Preservation. Identifying recommendations and or design guidelines to preserve the heritage of Downtown and the Historic District.

To develop a target business cluster concept and an action agenda for proactive recruitment of business to the community to supplement ongoing reactive recruitment; to identify potential business ventures that can be used to transform current industries.

To identify action steps to bring together the resources for business creation and support; to develop a strategy for small business creation particularly in economically underserved areas and populations.
