Cooper & Secrest Survey of Residents’ Attitudes, June, 2007 [PDF]

Action Greensboro is dedicated to:

  • Creating an economically vibrant community where individuals can find the foundations to build their lives
  • Fostering an environment that attracts business and industry and which stimulates business formation and development
  • Developing a dynamic urban center

Action Greensboro is using community input to structure its plan of work for the next few years.  After reviewing a demographic study by Dr. Keith Debbage of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an opinion survey by Coopers & Secrest, Action Greensboro identified 3 focus areas for future work:

1)     Excelling in public education

2)     Capitalizing on higher education assets

3)     Maximizing urban livability

From these focus areas, 5 task forces have been appointed:

Tonya Clinkscale, Tonya Clinkscale Development
Nancy Doll, Weatherspoon Art Museum, Director
